If you didn't click onto the slide show on my last entry about Alan Murphy (my step-brother), here's a picture of his bull wagon as he calls it. It has passed by my house many times but I never paid any attention to what was written on the side. Just like him to say : "Pretty girls ride free Whores in back". I have a link that shows his win at CBR in Vegas: http://www.cbrbull.com/press.php?srid=165 I have a feeling that this guy is gonna be a big name in the rodeo arena for a long time. Yep, you can bettcha boots I'm really proud of him :)..........

My uncle :)

An early morning sunrise I just had to get a picture of even though it was freezing outside. Winter has come to hang around so far this week. I think tomorrow may have a bit of "spring" temps :) It was warm enough this past Sunday to sit outside and visit with my uncle and his daughter for at least an hour. It's a good thing, too, cause this almost 94yr old man still smokes his cigarettes. I guess she won't let him smoke in their very new van and they traveled 85 miles to get here. As soon as they walked in, she headed to the bathroom and he whipped out his pack! Now no one is gonna smoke in my house ; I don't care how cold it is or how old you are! So I ushered him outside where the ash tray was on the front porch and she came on out and joined us. She doesn't smoke either. Anyway, I can tell he's not quite the same as he was a few years ago and kept calling me by my mother's name. Bless his heart; he must have smoked at least three or four cigs while they were here. At that age, I see no harm done.
Now, I gotta get off and find lunch. Everyone have a nice Funday :)........

What a trip!

Oscar&Meyers having a tug-of-war with a scrunchie they found.

A few weeks ago I was grocery shopping, all engrossed with whatever I was looking for but noticed a couple looking up at the very top. The man was as short as the lady and no taller than myself. So I was just about to say something to them about getting some help since I knew it was way out of my reach. Just then I heard a voice behind me and I turned around to see one of the tallest ladies that I have ever seen in a very long time. She was speaking to them and she just reached right up and got the item for them. All four of us were laughing. She went on with her shopping looking very pleased with herself. I couldn't help but wonder if they recognized how unusual what had just happened was such a rare moment! I was absolutely amazed in every sense of the word. I wouldn't have missed it for the world :)...................

2009?? WoW!

OK, I finally got in here. A couple of hours ago, just as I was about to click onto my blog, the electricity blinked and off my pc went. I just went outside and ranted about it to the dogs (silently of course). I think they can read my mind very well and I know they communicate with each other all the time. Anyway, I have a list as long as my arm why I haven't been in here for quite awhile but I'll spare you the details.
The picture above is O&M on one of the cold days when I had icicles hanging off the eave of the house. A couple of days later and it was autumn again. Yesterday didn't start out the new year too good for them. It has been plenty warm for them to stay on the porch at night and run loose during the day. They were out late yesterday eve and got too close to a dog fight between P.D. and a bigger dog from behind my house. Son#2 was at my cousin's across from me and ran the dog home but my little Oscar (the older one) really got too close and he came home traumatized. I put him on the back porch and he got in his bed and would not come out until about two hours after I got up this morn. He got his breakfast in bed and finally decided he was safe enough to come out of his bed and go on outside with Meyers. Now they are not to be seen so I guess they went back to the creek. Christmas day they made it back home about 4:30 that eve, soaking wet and happy. It was a warm day.
Little Fluffer didn't make it. My daughter took him to the vet and he said he had something wrong with his heart that he was born with so they put him to sleep. Now they have a new beagle puppy and she is really cute, too. No pictures yet. Gotta get out of here and tackle more house work right now and am trying to read everyone's entries and maybe catch up...............
