Oscar&Meyers made it back home yesterday eve about 2:30. They came through the doggie door that P.D. made full speed and were soooo happy to get inside. They were soaking wet, cold and starved. First thing they did was try to get dry along with doing a happy dance intermitently, rolling on the carpet and running around checking things out (especially their bed in the bathroom where I let them sleep at night now that it's cold. The doggie motel has no heat in there so I let them stay in. Rather clean smelling after the overnight outing in the rain:) They ate their food like they would never get anymore then looked at me as if to say, "where's the rest of it" so I gave them some more. Now it was nap time and that's what they did all the rest of the day. When they stirred around a little last night, Meyers wouldn't even wag his tail. It stayed in the drooped position:( They were back to their old selves this morn, both wagging their tails and dancing for their breakfast. Now it's lounge time again. Maybe they will think better of running off very far the next time they want out. Today they stayed out just long enough to do their business and that was it! Oh yeah, the doggie door works just fine for them; they can come running through it and to the sliding glass patio door where I can see them and let them in. Oh, the life of a dog!!

I'll bet that warm house and food felt good to them. I bet they won't do it again until next time. Cute little bugers.
Did you ground them? Can we say spoiled puppies?
Hugs, Joyce

Oh the dog's life indeed. They sound like a happy pair to be back home. DB
Holey smokes Alice. It's been a week or so since you've let shorty and shorty in. if they haven't dried out by this time, have they have freeze dried and become a couple petrified long nosed low bellied book ends.
Hope your alright for a Merry Merry-Christmas celebration.
